You've just found a pebble inside wrapping paper

I am new at this! What I'd like to do is create messages, like those thrown into the ocean in a bootle. Rays of light, statements of hope, reminders of our true purpose, daily words of encouragement for a world obscured by desperation.
I wish I could leave wrapped up fortune cookies or tiny parcels to be found by the casual passerby. I remember vividly that I had the knack for finding unexpected goodies on the street. We lived downtown when I lived through most of my unexpected findings, so I guess just the sheer chaos of the center of Medellin made it possible that careless pedestrians would drop what they didn't need, which once found by my constantly searching eyes, treasures. I once found a beautiful pink comb and mirror set, wrapped in a matching delicate paper. I also found a ring with a snake on it, pewter and red eyes on it. Then, there was the day when all my package contained was a small stone inside wrapping paper. I remembered having discarded some of those myself, as I tried to make an unwanted wart disappear, but finding the little package always added wonder to my day.
I believe that we all need hints. We thirst for messages, signals and confirmation that the universe actually remembers who we are and cares, secretly, for each and every one of our desires. There are days when loneliness and grey clouds make us linger for such tidbits of engagement from the world around us even more. Despite the concrete jungles we have barricaded ourselves with, we have also created modes of communication which allow us to reach out and affect countless individuals' existence, underlining that we also, exist and long for that contact. I am here, wondering, like you and I care about you and your journey.
